Why Microsoft Gave a Free Xbox One S to a 9-Year-Old Play Video

Microsoft was in the spirit of giving recently after it discovered a nine-year-old boy from Ohio who did a good deed.

Earlier this month, Mikah Frye told his grandmother that instead of getting a $ 300 Xbox One S he wanted for Christmas, he preferred to use that money to buy 30 $ 10 blankets for the homeless he saw on the streets in the freezing cold. His story quickly went viral in the Cleveland area after it was picked up by the local media. Frye told the media that he felt "really good" for helping the needy.

It was not long before a local Microsoft store in a nearby city noticed the fact of Frye. Then, on Saturday, he was invited to the store, where he was given an Xbox One S, a second controller for the console and a variety of games. A store employee thanked Frye, who was happy to receive his new Xbox, for what he did.

Frye's visit to the Microsoft store was broadcast live on Facebook on the local affiliate's Facebook page for Fox 8 News. It has been seen almost 100,000 times as of this writing and includes hundreds of comments thanking Frye for his altruism.
